Buckle Down Ben (Devil His Due--Flying Hill, by Flying Paster). Graded stakes winner of $367,743. Won the G3 Laurel Futurity at 2, second in the G3 Holy Bull Stakes and Iowa Derby, third in G2 Remsen Stakes. Buckle Down Ben also is a G1 performer with starts in the G1 Belmont and Fountain of Youth Stakes. He offers a nice outcross pedigree completely free of Northern Dancer and Mr. Prospector for thoroughbreds, and his sire has produced some very nice sporthorses. His record is 31-8-7-5. He had an injury in October 2001, and he was "retired" for two years, returning to race in October 2003. He ground out 17 more starts over the next 16 months, and earning an additional $108K the hard way before retiring to in February 2005. He started his stud career in 2007, and his first 3 year olds hit the tracks in 2010. He has 34 foals of racing age, and 13 of those have started, and 6 of those have been winners with progeny earnings over $100K. 2012 Stud Fee $1000 LFG.
